CAOS (the Calgary Animated Objects Society) is a registered non-profit
charitable organization founded in 2003 to develop and promote the arts of
puppetry, mask, and animated objects. The International Festival of Animated
Objects is CAOS's major project.
The IFAO is curated by CAOS Founder Xstine Cook. Xstine is best known as a
Founder and former Co-Artistic Director of Green Fools Theatre. Xstine has been
making masks and puppets for 20 years and has performed at festivals world-
wide for over 15 years.
As part of the Festival, CAOS showcases world-class artists on stage and screen,
in workshops, lectures, and exhibitions, and in free public performances.
Educational outreach projects in schools and communities stimulate creative
thinking and help to develop festival audiences. |
